Couples Vacations

Wednesday, October 31st, 2007

By Ross Bainbridge Every couple need some time off to recuperate and rekindle their intimacy. Couples vacations provide opportunities for couples to discover various parts of the world and spend some time all by themselves, away from the stress of everyday life. There are a huge number of tour operators who offer a wide variety of vacation packages for couples to almost all parts of the world. The location and duration of the vacation depends on a number of factors such as the time available, budget, and the type of vacation they want. Vacations can range from adventure trekking to getaways at spa resorts and relaxing among idyllic surroundings at beautiful beaches. Some vacations involve a lot of physical exertion such as long walks, mountain climbing, and other activities. Others mostly involve rest and relaxation. Most resorts and vacation places provide various kinds of service, depending on the charges they levy and their ratings. Most package tours have all-inclusive features that include a host of features and facilities. Some of the facilities that can be expected at most vacation resorts are rooms at star hotels, pools, bars, gyms, spas, and tennis courts. If beaches are available, diving, snorkeling, swimming, and yachting are popular activities. However, vacations do not always have to be at beaches or resorts. A lot of couples prefer sightseeing and like to gain some knowledge about the country, culture, and customs of the people among whom the vacation is enjoyed. Traveling to different cities in that country, photography and mingling with the people would be their main pastimes. Hundreds of tour operators can be found on the Internet. All of them list the various destinations, the kind of service to expect and other details including prices. Couples who wish to minimize costs can choose to plan their own vacations. This planning must take into account all possible situations including food, lodging accommodations, type of people, and the geographical nature of the area. Proper planning ensures a safe, incident free vacation. Couples provides detailed information on Couples, Celebrity Couples, Interracial Couples, Couples Counseling and more. Wrinkle Buster In Your Kitchen

By Danielle Sims Many cosmetic companies are capitalizing on on our need to fight the signs of aging. Prices for these “miracle” concoctions can run as high as $200 for a cream! So what is in these small jars of hope and promise? Looking through the ingredients and deciphering the scientific names, you may discover that some of the ingredients are derived from fruits and vegetables that we regularly buy in the Produce section of our favorite grocer. A simple fruit, grapes, has been used in anti-aging treatments as an antioxidant and a skin rejuvenator. Seed or Seedless? With Seeds! An added benefit is provided when you use the grapes with seeds. The seeds contain proanthocyanidin which is considered to be a very potent antioxidant. A study shows that grapeseeds can be a potent healer of the skin. In addition to being a potent healer, it also makes a wonderful skin softner as well as improving the skin’s texture. Want an easy way to put grape skin conditioning and healing properties to the test? Open a white grape and rub the mashed grapes over your face and neck. Leave it on for 15 minutes or until dry and rinse with lukewarm water. Repeat daily. In a week or two, you may be hard pressed to find those tale-tell signs of aging when you consult with your mirror! Danielle Sims explored her library of alternative health, herbal books, and aromatherapy books and created a blueprint for making her own body wrap formulas at home. Creating the Perfect Profile for Online Dating

Sunday, October 28th, 2007

By Roman Zazulak If you have already joined or thinking of joining an online dating service, one of the things that you should consider is creating the perfect profile. Online dating profiles are an extremely important resource when communicating who you are to potential singles interested in meeting you. Practically every online dating service allows their members to create unique and individualized personal profiles on who they are, what makes them interesting and what type of person they would like to meet. Lets face it competition can be fierce, if you want to stand out from the crowd, one way to do it is with creating the perfect profile, here are some tips. Be Honest Honesty is extremely important when creating your online profile, while it is easy to exaggerate your positives and minimize your weaknesses in your profile, lying can be a deal breaker. Dont Be So Negative Everyone has pet peeves and bad days, however no one wants to meet or date a person that is constantly complaining or severely depressed. Show the positive side of your personality; convey that you are fun or interesting to be with and not a complete bore. No one wants to date a person that is miserable. State Your Preferences It is important to create a personal profile that gives readers clues on what type of person you are looking for. You might be a person that enjoys social surroundings, you might like intellectual activities or you might enjoy active or extreme sports. Your goal is to find someone compatible, so make sure you communicate what type of person you are looking for. Choose a Good Photo One of the most important parts of your personal profile is your photo. First off, its ok that you dont look like a movie star, but make sure you find a photo that portrays you in a positive light. If you dont have a good photo, ask a friend to take a picture of you. Try to stay away from taking your own picture or using web cams. Choose a good photo that is easy to view. Make sure it is not grainy or dark. Make sure people can see your face. Dont cover it up with a cap or sunglasses. Many online dating services offer you the ability to add 3 or 4 photos. This is a great resource, add a couple of photos while you do activities such as ski or at your favorite outdoor spot. This will give the viewer more information about you. A great tip is to change your photos frequently. While many people might see your first photo, you might get some added interest if two or three weeks later you change your primary photo. Keep Your Personal Profile a Decent Length Your personal profile can vary in length; however try not to make it too long or too short. For instance, dont write two sentences for your profile. Most people will immediately realize that you either have nothing to say or dont care. On the other hand, no one wants to read your life story, if they are interested in you and want to learn more, they will contact you. In his quest for finding the perfect wife, Roman tried every method imaginable until he finally got married to Gigi in 2004. Soap Making For Beginners - Melt And Pour Process

Saturday, October 27th, 2007

By David Cushion As you will learn, soap making can be simple or complex. Some people enjoy the challenge of going all out professionally, which is fine. However, other people simply want to make soap for personal use or to give as an occasional gift. Keep in mind that safety precautions should still be followed because soap becomes dangerously hot when melted, regardless of the skill level involved. Here, we will discuss easy melt and pour techniques, perfect for the novice or skilled soap maker! First, keep in mind that most handmade soap is made from glycerin. When you purchase store-bought soap, the majority of the glycerin has been processed out. Therefore, when you make your own soap, you have a great opportunity to create something that is glycerin rich and soft. Although glycerin is usually clear, with todays colors and fragrances, you can create beautiful soaps that not only make your skin soft but also look great. With glycerin, because it is a humectant, moisture is drawn out of itself. That means when you use glycerin soap while bathing, a very fine layer will stay on the skin, adding moisture. BUYING SOAP To go through the easy melt and pour method, you want to stop by your soap-making supply or hobby store, or online soap supply store. There, you will find large blocks of clear soap. These vary in size and type. Remember, the prices will vary depending on where you live and the store or business where you buy. Regardless, the following are the types of melt and pour soaps you would need to make your homemade soap. Hemp Glycerin Soap This type of glycerin is great for the melt and pour system, creating semi transparent soap with the benefit of hemp. Hemp oil is rich with essential fatty acids, enzymes, Omega 3 and 6, and vitamins A, D, & E. When buying hemp glycerin, you should look for blocks that are around 20% glycerin, is alcohol free, and free of any harsh detergents. Typically, you will find 11-pound slabs, which will make approximately 44 bars of soap, each four ounces. If that is too much, you might try to find smaller slabs or go in with another soap maker to split the soap. This size slab will average $40. Olive Oil Soap Olive oil soap is semi-transparent with just a slight tan color. However, the benefits and features are very close to that of hemp glycerin. The only difference is that instead of hemp, olive oil is used. When buying, look for cold pressed olive oil that contains essential fatty acids, minerals, vitamins, and as close to 20% glycerin as possible. Again, an 11-pound slab for olive oil soap runs around $40. Clear Glycerin Soap This type of soap is transparent and has low shrinkage qualities. In addition, clear glycerin soap has very little problem with discoloration. This soap is vegetable derived and an excellent choice for melt and pour soap bars. You can add color or fragrance easily and the soap will leave your skin feeling soft and smooth. Clear glycerin soap is also a great choice for making soap with multiple layers, novelty soaps (those with toys, flowers, or other objects inside), and yet the clarity is exactly what you would buy from your favorite boutique. If you want a good daily soap, one that is fun for the kids, and makes an excellent gift, clear glycerin is it. Goats Milk Glycerin Soap This type of soap originates from the beautiful Rocky Mountains. The feel is creamy and rich, and very luxurious. The appearance of this soap is off white. Many people shy away from goats milk glycerin because of the name but you will find that it has no fragrance and actually takes both color and fragrance perfectly. If you want soap that is natural, this is a great choice. Typically, goats milk glycerin soap is slightly higher than the other types of soaps but still very affordable and well worth the investment. MELT AND POUR SOAP MAKING EQUIPMENT AND INGREDIENTS The great thing about using melt and pour is that you can use equipment you typically have on hand. With this method, you can use the base of a double boiler or your microwave oven. Keep in mind that if you choose the microwave, the bowl with the soap substance will need to be covered with plastic wrap to keep it from splattering but more importantly, to help keep the excess moisture from evaporating. For the microwave method, you would melt the base soap on high for about one minute, stirring in the remaining pieces not yet melted. For the double boiler option, bring the water to a boil. Then, add your melt and pour soap of choice, cover, and leave on low. This will take quite some time to melt so about every 10 minutes, check the base to see if it is melted. If you like, you can stir occasionally to ensure an even melt. Fragrance For both methods of melt and pour, if you want to add in fragrance, once the base soap has melted, then you would add the fragrance oil. Be sure the fragrance is mixed in completely and that the base of the soap does not have a cloudy appearance. Although you can use more or less fragrance according to personal preference, typically a good rule to follow is to use .25 ounces to every one pound of soap base. In addition to fragrances, you can also use essential oils. Color Now for the color, if you want to create colored soap, add approximately one-eighth teaspoon to one-quarter teaspoon mica in with the melting soap base, making sure to mix in it well. If any bubbles form on top of the soap, you can leave them for design effect or spray them with rubbing alcohol. If you want to use food coloring, start with just one drop to the melted base, stirring well. Then, you can add one additional drop until you find the color of preference. After the fragrance and color have been added to the soap base, pour the melted base into the mold of your choice. Again, if you want to remove any bubbles that will settle on top, spray them with rubbing alcohol. After the soap has hardened, generally a few hours, you can use it and enjoy! COST As you can see, to make your own soap at home, you would pay around $40 for the slab of base, a few dollars for fragrance, a few dollars for coloring, and that is about it. The process is very cost effective, fun, and you end up with exactly the type of soap you love most. Most people figure that one bar of homemade soap will average .50, far less than you would pay elsewhere. In addition, you can add in special items or effects to jazz things up. Making soap using the melt and pour process is easy and fun and makes for very inexpensive soap. Not only is it great for making your own soap, but it makes for truly unique and creative gifts. A Day in the Life of a LASIK Procedure

Friday, October 26th, 2007

By [http://ezinearticles.com/?expert=Jay_Stockman] Jay Stockman It is 9:00am, I must get up, I have been waiting for this day my entire life. As far as I can remember I have needed glasses, not the kind that would flatter a person, the kind that would bring pity to the faces of strangers who looked at me. I mean, my glasses where thick! . This is the day I am going to have LASIK. LASIK is an acronym for laser assisted in situ keratomileusis, which refers to creating a flap in the cornea with a microkeratome and using a laser to reshape the underlying cornea. I have done the research, I have met with the surgeon, there is no turning back, its almost show time. On my way to the doctors office, my mind is racing, am I making the right decision? Will I experience the debilitating side effects that others have warned me about? My journey originally began at my eye doctors office, who does not perform LASIK. I asked him for a referral, and he suggested a local Ophthalmologist. An Ophthalmologist is a Medical Doctor who is licensed to perform LASIK procedures, after additional LASIK-specific training. After an extensive checking of his credentials, and experience, this was going to be my LASIK doctor. I finally arrive, and a very friendly, and helpful staff greets me, and assures me that this procedure will be painless, and quick. Easy for them to say, they all probably have perfect vision. My name is called; I proceed to a cold, large room, which looks like a scene from the movie Independence Day. My hour of reckoning is here, I think about going blind, what I would miss most. I have to start thinking positive thoughts. I briefly meet with the Surgical Counselor who explains to me the different steps I am about to go through. He asks me if I require a sedative, I tell him a Bombay Sapphire Martini would do just fine. He reminds me it is 10:00 am in the morning. I opt out of taking any sedative; I want to be awake for the entire procedure. With this, in walks his royal highness, THE LASIK SURGEON. I lay down on what is referred to as the treatment bed, a bit hard, but totally acceptable. The surgeon places drops in both of my eyes, within seconds my eyes feel very heavy, and numb. He assures me this is normal, and will not affect my brain. He starts on the right eye first, he places clamps under my eyelids to keep them wide open. My heart is racing; I want to cry out for my mommy. Next he places a contraption on my eye, that he calls a keratome, the instrument that will be used to create the cornea flap. At this point, I only feel some pressure on my eye, absolutely no pain. His assistant is constantly pouring artificial tears in my eyes to keep them wet since I cannot blink. I am now directed to focus on a red fixation light, which I do obediently. The surgeon activates the keratome, I hear a noise my cornea is being sliced like a bologna, and I still feel no pain. Next the laser is activated, I smell something like burning hair, again no pain, just pressure. Within minutes the surgeon is finished with the right eye, on to the left. The entire procedure lasted about 20 minutes. That is it! My procedure is over, and I am in recovery. I am almost in tears, I open my eyes, and for the first time in my life I have VISION, a bit cloudy, but vision nonetheless. I am overwhelmed at this point. The LASIK surgeon walks in, checks me briefly, and informs me everything went well. I wanted to hug and kiss him, however there is a time and place for everything. I am given some drops, and instructions, and within 24 hours of surgery I am back at work. Absolutely amazing, how quick the recovery period was. My vision at this point is cloudy, and I am told this is normal, since the cornea is still swollen. Six weeks have passed, and I am doing great. The vision in my right eye is 20/20, my left is 20/25 all with no glasses, or correction. The cloudiness is completely eliminated, I still have a noticeable glare at night, but far from debilitating. There is no dryness in my eyes at all, and I rarely use lubricating drops. I am completely satisfied with my entire experience, and highly recommend it to any potential candidate. As Human Beings We Are Social Creatures…

Thursday, October 25th, 2007

By Rion Williams Unfortunately I see other teachers use that as an excuse to further keep men repressed; without their own awareness. The problem with being a ’social’ creature today is that being social now represents the great hierarchical power game of influence, coercion and conditioned repression. The true meaning of social is open, pure interdependence and exchange of value based on mutual respect for anothers independence. We used to be more open, respectful and social like this. Part of Europe such as small towns where everyone knows each other and can share quality time together; that’s interdependence. That’s being social. Now with the power of the ’social matrix’ which is just a moneygame of profit, people are either forced to adapt or risk being considered an outcast. Ironically it’s the outcasts who succeed the most with women and also have moved over to being role models of the social matrix because they realized it was profitable. We have icons of a more violent and abusive nature now rather than the true gentlemen that we used to have. Being ’social’ means you give into the demands of the subculture or society itself in exchange for a loss of (in this case) all kinds of personal power. Men by default are at the bottom of the social hierarchy, with the sexiest women at the top. Yet above the women are the power players; the ones orchestrating the whole thing and exploiting women as the conditional stimulus for men to behaviorally ‘respond’ to. This builds up the fantasy even more within the men and pushes them further down the social hierarchy. If being ’social’ was truly based on equality and respect, men and women would be equal. There wouldn’t be all of this manipulation of power and suppression going on. So should you just not be ’social’ and be an outcast who doesn’t care? Fortunately there is an answer but by default, most men don’t live it. You have to look at relational dynamics for an answer. The reason men are powerless around these women is because of the type of relationship they have with social power itself. They have been the conditioned responsed to the stimuli the ‘powers’ are promoting. If instead they were truly independent and would not ever accept a relationship of disempowerment and suppression, they would have a completely different relationship to this programming. They would be independent so they could stop the bullets of influence (ala Matrix) and choose the type of relationship they have. They could turn off the influence completely and see it for what it really is. Then, they wouldn’t let it control or suppress them anymore. They would only accept win/win relationships instead of continuing to be programmed and suppressed by letting others have power over them. Everything would change from that point forward. Accepting that we are ’social creatures’ is now the root of your demise. It’s not your inner game or personality that’s the problem. It’s the type of relationship you have with society and the social powers (including the sexploitation of women). So when a man can change his relation reality so that he only accepts equal exchange of value relationships, he will finally have power and will then be equal to all power itself. Now he can be fearless of the attributes these sexy women represent because he just was in the wrong relational dynamic (social) in the first place. Now he actually CAN be social by having interdependent (win/win) relationships with other people of power and beauty. He can actually be their equal. Celebrities won’t open up to you when you’re admittedly ‘below them’ in the social hierarchy but when you’re their equal and unafraid of them, you can make a connection because of the relational approach you took. Be the equal to power itself instead of under it as you’ve been conditioned and you will then be powerful yourself. You just have to reframe your relationships to all sources of power and accept that you have the power in the first place. The opposite of ignorance is cognition. I encourage you to see the light and break free from the social oppression that you’ve been conditioned to believe. Don’t be a pawn. Be equal to the powerful and beautiful women you desire and then you can connect with them and be TRULY social. Wedding Planning - Part VI

Wednesday, October 24th, 2007

By Michael Russell In this sixth of a series of articles about planning your wedding we’re going to pick up with what to do starting 1 month before the big day. We are getting to the home stretch here. Just 30 days until your wedding. These are the things that should be taken care of at this time. The first thing is to choose wedding rings. This is something you and the groom need to do together unless he decides to go with a one ring ceremony. Discuss this with him first. If you feel strongly about him wearing a ring you should let him know about your feelings. Now is the time to mail invitations. One month prior should be plenty of time for your guests to respond as to whether or not they will be able to come. You’re also going to have to make room reservations for any out of town guests that you’re planning to have. You don’t want these people fending for themselves or sleeping on the streets. Make sure the accommodation is clean and comfortable. Check the wedding party clothes. Make sure that everything is just right. This will still give the fitters time to make any last minute corrections if needed. Get together with the band and make sure you have all the musical selections worked out including your first dance and any other special music that you want. You don’t want to micromanage this, as most wedding bands will play appropriate selections. Just make them aware of any special songs that you definitely want played. Make the reservations for the brides maids luncheon. Don’t skimp on this. They deserve to be fed well. Make sure all the last arrangements for the rehearsal dinner are in order. Discuss this with the guests and the caterer handling the dinner. You want everybody on the same page here. There is going to be a wedding shower that your maid of honor is going to throw for you around this time. Make sure you make yourself available during this month. Most likely they will try to make this a surprise. Most likely if your maid of honor or one of your friends starts acting strange on a given day you won’t be surprised. Fake it. They’ll love you for it. Make sure that you apply for your marriage license. Each state is different so you are going to want to get all the information that you can before you do this. The last thing you want is to make it to that day, not have a license and not be able to go through with the ceremony. Laws are very strict about these things. No license, no marriage. Of course you’re also going to need a blood test before you can get married. Make sure that this is taken care of as well. You probably want to schedule a trip to the doctor for you and the groom on the same day. In the next article in this series we’ll be going over what needs to be done 2 weeks before the big day. ——————————————————- Michael Russell Your Independent guide to Weddings ——————————————————- Article Source: http://EzineArticles.com/?expert=Michael_Russell http://EzineArticles.com/?Wedding-Planning—Part-VI&id=132176 tramadol no prescription overnight buy tramadol prescription tramadol without prescription free shipping zyrtec buy tramadol online zyrtec online buy zyrtec

Gardening - Where To Start - Choosing The Right Seeds For Your Garden

Sunday, October 21st, 2007

By Rae Bennett Seed selection can make or break your garden. If you choose the wrong seeds you can end up with a very pitiful looking garden. What goes into choosing the right seeds? If you are saving your seeds from you own plants you have a little more control over what plants the seeds come from. You will want to choose plants that are hardy and contain a good number of blooms. Choosing seeds from a plant that is a little puny looking but with one or two very lovely blooms is not likely going to give you a plant that is hardy with more lovely blooms. Seeds usually produce plants like their parent plant. A good trick to know which plants to use for seeds is to look at your plants: size, hardiness, and blooms (or yields for vegetables). When you find the ones that exhibit the qualities you would like in your new plants tie a string on the plant, when it is harvest time you will know which ones to get the seeds from for your next year’s garden. If you are buying your seeds you don’t have as much control over the plants that the seeds come from, but there are things you can look for to choose the proper seeds. The first thing you should look at is size, the larger the better. The next thing would be the plumpness or fullness of the seed. Using these two indicators will give you more certainty of a good plant for your garden. Each part of a seed, called a cotyledon, stores the food that the little plant will need until its roots grow enough to do their job. So the larger and plumper the seed the more likely it is to have enough food to sustain the tiny plant. One thing to consider for the viability of your seeds is their age. Seeds will only be viable for a few years. Of course if you are buying your seeds you have no control of this, but if you buy from a reputable seed house you should not have to worry about this. If you are saving your own seeds make sure you label when you saved them to be able to use them before they are no good. Another viability issue is to make sure the seeds are picked when they are mature, picked to early and they will not germinate. Also make sure the seeds are not frozen, if frozen most seeds will not germinate. With careful consideration of your seeds you should have a beautiful garden full of blooms or with a plentiful bounty. Gardens Abloom is dedicated to all aspects of gardening.
